Andrew Parkin was born and educated in England but matured as a writer in Canada. He has published scholarly books and essays on drama as well as poetry. Dancers in a Web is his first poetry collection. He has also published Yokohama Days, Kyoto Nights and an edition of W.B. Yeats's play The Herne's Egg. Some of his poems have been selected for translation into Chinese. After 20 years in Canada, Andrew Parkin is now professor of English at the Chinese University in Hong Kong.
