Lydia Kwa was born in Singapore and came to Canada in 1980. She has a BSc in psychology from the University of Toronto and a MA and PhD in clinical psychology from Queen's University. She has written one previous book of poetry, The Colours of Heroines along with three novels, This Place Called Absence, The Walking Boy (shortlisted for the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize), and Pulse. She currently lives and writes in Vancouver.
